Dr. Enrique Gutiérrez Ibañes is an interventional cardiologist specializing in coronary physiology, intravascular imaging, and transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR). After training at the Mayo Clinic under Prof. Amir Lerman, he established the coronary physiology program at Gregorio Marañón. His research focuses on microvascular and endothelial dysfunction, angina with non-obstructed coronary arteries (ANOCA), and the interaction between coronary physiology and gut microbiota (MIGATER, MEDIMACS).
